My husband has had TBI for almost 30 years. He saw this book advertised in a magazine, and he decided to read it. He says that it has given him a ton of insight into TBI, and it has made him feel so go to know that other people really do understand his issues.

Bought this book for my brother who suffered a traumatic brain injury. He has really enjoyed it and found quite a lot in common with the author. A very good thing, considering he felt totally alone on his journey.

What an insightful book! I am not familiar with traumatic brain injury, but since I am into nonfiction plus the adorable book cover, Craniama caught my fancy. I did not expect the book would be so personal and sentimental yet informative. Definitely a whole lot of new learning for me!
As a medical practitioner, I highly suggest author Bryan Sisson’s book. Craniama is a wonderful book that I, myself, even with my extensive exposure to injuries, learned a lot from. Even with medical knowledge, practitioners like me need to be reminded that we also have to take a look at the personal lens of our patients.
Thank you for the thoughtful narrative, author Bryan Sisson! You are so brave! I may not personally know anyone with a brain injury, but by reading your book, I know that this is helpful to those who have it. Glad I chanced upon Craniama on the internet.
I happened to come across the book Craniama and it resonated with me. Reading the synopsis on the back cover reminded me of my friend who endured an injury, so I knew right there and then that I had to buy it. As a friend who only knew a little, everything makes sense now. If you have anyone in your life who suffers the same, I suggest you read this enlightening book.
For someone that is into studies, reading the ethnography penned in Craniama left me in awe. It was informative and immersive. But more than being educational, sharing the intimate experience of the author having lived with the injury himself is selfless and brave. Kudos to Bryan Sisson, I highly recommend his book!
